Guppy

Lebistes reticulatus
Guppies are a small fish, who will not get much larger then 1 to 3 inches in length. They can live in a wide variety of water temperatures and conditions. Because of this guppies make good community fish and will live happily with most other fish.

Guppies are also called 'millions fish' because of the rate at which they breed. Show guppies can cost as much as $30 or more, but feeder guppies can be bought at pet shops 12 for $1.

Because of their size and ease to take care of, guppies are a great starter fish for your first community tank or for your children.
