Often called the Siamese Fighting Fish, a betta is a great addition to any warm water tank. They get along fine with nearly all other fish, but males will usually fight each other if kept together and you should never have more then one male in any aquarium.

The betta is a Labyrinth fish which means that instead of breathing through gills underwater it breaths air from the surface.
